Because the Gospel Changes Everything
We hope you'll join us this Sunday for worship! Learn more about what we do and why we do it.
Our worship services are first and foremost a meeting of God with the people He’s gathered. The liturgy—or order of worship—at West End Presbyterian Church follows this pattern every week:
God the Father Calls Us to Worship Him
We recognize the presence and greatness of God. Because we believe God initiates with sinners, we begin worship with His Word: His invitation to us to gather in His name. The liturgist welcomes the congregation and leads them through a call to worship, reciting the creed, singing, and Scripture reading. We greet one another, administer baptism and receive new members, pray together, and take up an offering.
God the Son Renews Us through His Word and Sacrament
Together we receive food from the Lord that will not spoil: a biblical, Christ-centered sermon, and the meal of the Lord's Supper. In this way we affirm that God uniquely nourishes His people through the practices of preaching and communion.
Often we find that our hearts are worshipping something other than God. In confessing our sins, the Holy Spirit probes our hearts and minds and graciously shows us what we mistakenly believe will give us life. Jesus is good to lead us from sorrow over our sin to the sweetness of His grace.
God the Holy Spirit Transforms us by His Grace
We respond to God’s grace with thanksgiving in song. He always has the last word in our worship service and God sends His people out with His blessing.
What We Believe
West End Presbyterian Church is a part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and subscribes to the Westminster Confession of Faith, a historic summary of the teaching of the Bible. In it you can find a much more comprehensive statement of our beliefs.

Younger worshippers are welcomed and encouraged to worship alongside their families in the worship service. But no matter their age, WEPC endeavors to provide a safe, nurturing place where children can experience the love of God within the covenant community.
